Hey! There's New Stuff!!!
Sunday morning I read a bit of John R. Rice's book and said that I would scan the cover to that we could all enjoy the oh-so-very pejorative artwork. If you click on the image on the left you'll be able to see a larger image."Predestined to Hell? No!" was published in 1958, but most of the arguments used by the current crop of anti-Calvinist preachers are drawn directly from John R. Rice's material; even the identification of any adherent of the five points as a "hyper-Calvinist." OF course, that misuse of the term (which does in fact have a historic meaning) dates back to Spurgeon's time when he was also tarred with that title. So, we're in good company.
NEW STUFF
I have finally returned to the Romans series. I was sidetracked from that project by the "By Grace Alone" audio book project. Now that the audio book is finished I'm digitizing and posting new messages from Romans. The latest entry is "R44 - Romans 12:4-7"
You can find it under the "Listen" link (just scroll down the Romans section). Or, you can click here: New Romans 4
And there's a new Q&A entitled "The Meaning of Israel." It's a cordial discussion of whether the meaning of the word "Israel" has broadened in the New Testament to embrace every believer in Christ. It also includes a brief overview of the question "Are Old Testament saints part of the Bride of Christ?" You can find the link on the "What's New?" page, or look for the title on the Q&A page.
So, I'm staying busy! Thanks for all the recent encouragement and many, many positive emails. It's good to know you're all out there and that our little ministry continues to touch lives and edify God's people.
It's a very cool thing. :-)
