Looking back 25 years
In an earlier blog entry I mentioned that I've been learning how to encode video for broadcast over the Internet. I also mentioned that I may post some pieces of my rock'n'roll past. Well, true to my word, I have done just that. It's been up on Google video for several days and those folk who have already discovered it have encouraged me to link to it from my blog so that our readers can enjoy seeing a bit of my mis-spent youth. I agreed to post it here, if for no other reason than to prove that I once had hair. And, what was the deal with those over-sized glasses? Remember when those were considered fashionable? Yikes!Well anyway --- back in the early 1980's I was part of a recording/touring band called "707." In 1981 we performed on several TV programs to promote our new album and upcoming tour with REO Speedwagon. We were on The Mike Douglas Show, Solid Gold, and The Midnight Special, hosted by Wolfman Jack. (If you remember any of those shows, you're showing your age.)
This first clip is from The Midnight Special, where we played our first chart hit, "I Could Be Good For You." I co-wrote this song with our original pianist, Duke McFadden.
So, put on your dancing shoes, break out your air-guitar, and rock along with the Wolfman. Just click here -
