Dreams of Jesus Weeping

Hi!

How are you?

I'm fine.

You're looking well.

There --- now that the chit-chat is out of the way, we can get down to the business at hand. :-)

I recently replied to a very interesting email and, though it's not typical of our usual Q&A subject matter, I thought I'd post it to the website for anyone who might be interested in it, or edified by it. It's called "Visions of Jesus Weeping," a response to an email that's making the rounds among Charismatic groups. It was sent to me by a GCA listener/reader in Malaysia.

You'll find it listed on the Q&A page, or you can link directly to it by visiting the "What's New" page: what's new

Our First Audio Book!

Well, I recently mentioned that GCA was creating a new product unlike anything we'd done before. I announced it Sunday morning from the pulpit, but now it's up on our website and ready to go.

Over the course of the last month, I've been working on an audio version of one of our most popular books, "A Guide to New Covenant Giving." It's very seldom that we create "in studio" recordings, since I talk so much with a microphone attached to me anyway. But, I'm very pleased with the end result.

If you'd like a copy of this audio book on five CD's (the program runs 4 hours and 18 minutes, broken into chapters), then write to GCA and request it. We're asking $10 to defray our expenses.

contact us

BUT, if you want to listen for free, it's easy! The book is available, in its entirety, from the GCA website as downloadable mp3's. Or, as with all our mp3's, you can just click and listen right from our server.

Just go here: A Guide to New Covenant Giving

Comments and feedback are welcome! If there is sufficient response, we'll continue putting our other books in audio format. This has been challenging and fun to do. So, let us know what you think!

Now, click away and enjoy!

It's Always Something ....

Well, you may have noticed that there is no Wednesday message this week. Unfortunately, my daughter and I have both been felled with the same pernicious virus we had just last month. It hardly seems fair to get the same bug twice in a row. But, that's what happened. I'll spare you the gory details, but this is the virus that lands in your digestive tract and "cleans house." It was a very rough couple of days.

It started Monday night/Tuesday morning and I just really started feeling like I was going to recover this morning. So, I'm eating small bits of stuff and looking forward to getting my strength back.

Thanks for the prayers and support. I realize that these things are reminders of how human and fragile we are; but I would prefer to read that lesson in a book rather than have to learn it firsthand. :-)

Oh well ....

More Romans!

It's been a couple of weeks since I've updated my blog, but I've been a busy fellow. There is, however, a new Romans mp3 available as of this morning. R40 Romans 10:18-11:5

Slowly, but surely, we keep cranking out the new material. And I have been working diligently on a new GCA recorded "product offering" that is unlike anything we've done in the past. The announcement will be forthcoming.

So, I hope you're all enjoying the New Year. I'm very excited to see what God will do in 2006!

Now, back to work ....
