"Behold, I stand at the door and knock ..."

How many times have you heard those words used to inspire people to make a choice, open their hearts, and let Jesus in? If you grew up in church, as I did, then you've heard it countless times.

But, is that a proper use of that verse? Is the willing choice to let Him into your heart really what Jesus meant to convey when He employed that phrase?
