Meg's PAWS Painting

Okay, sometimes it is incumbent on a father to brag on his daughter. Megan volunteers for PAWS, Rutherford County's Pet Adoption & Welfare Services. A couple days a week she helps people adopt pets ... well, actually she finds people to suit the animals.

PAWS

Anyway, PAWS is having a silent action to raise money and they asked their volunteers to submit artwork for the auction. Today they supplied her with a blank canvas and asked if she could bring something in tomorrow. (Thanks, no pressure ...)

The painting above was done in about three hours. Tomorrow we'll take it to the PAWS office where it will hang on the wall for two weeks. Then, the highest bidder will walk off with it. She's hoping it helps them raise the necessary funds to continue helping animals and people find each other.
I just had to puff my chest out a bit when I saw the finished product. My artistic daughter with the heart of gold.
Okay ... I'm done bragging.
Not quite ...
She's also a great kid.
Now I'm done.
