Video on the GCA site!

I should know better than to suggest an improvement to our website to Jeff. To him it's not merely an idea, it's a qoal. Well, I mentioned to him last Friday that I had converted the video of our recent sermon at the Sovereign Grace Conference to Windows Media and had uploaded it to a folder on our archive site. My suggestions was that we embed a video player on a page of our site and then we could host our own video clips without having to utilize Google Video or YouTube, which convert the videos we upload into Flash format and the overall quality often suffers. But, if we could control the quality of the videos we create and host them on our site, the end result would be better.

So Jeff --- being very Jeff-like --- went to work on it. And now, we're pleased to announce that you can watch the first video we've ever posted on the GCA site! It's the message "The Best News You Ever Heard" from the Lexington Conference and you can watch it here:

http://www.gcaarchive.com/mainstreetbaptist.shtml

When you reach that page a video player will automatically launch and you can watch and listen to the streamed message. Very cool, indeed.

Now that we have this new capacity, watch for more videos from GCA. Eventually we will create a page link from our home page that will feature our available videos, but for the moment you'll find this one on our archive page, under the Main Street Baptist Church heading.

Check it out for yourself! And your comments and suggestions are welcome.
